On June 3, 2004, essay awards were presented at Benoit Academy, 3029 E. Paulding Road. The 7th and 8th grade students participated. The winner was Alicia R. Lopez. Americanism Chairman, David Parrish Unit 296, Legion Women’s Auxiliary, Helen Thiele presented the award.
