MARIETTA BECKMAN MALCOM, 85
MARIETTA BECKMAN MALCOM, 85, of Floral City, Florida, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Avante of Inverness Nursing Center. Born in Fort Wayne November 13, 1918 to John D. & Mabel (Babb) Rathert, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary since 1944 and retired from St. Joseph Medical Center as a Hospital Dietician. She moved to Florida from Fort Wayne fifteen years ago.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl W. Beckman in 1979.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, John Malcom; Carl W. Beckman, Jr. and Barrie R. Beckman, both of Fort Wayne, and Daniel Beckman of LaGrange, IN; daughters, Judith Rohyans of Mishawaka; Karen Thompson of Muncie; and Janet Beckman, Sandra Johnson and Marietta “Susan” Ray, all of Fort Wayne, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 13 in Klaehn Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne Street. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
The preferred memorial is Trinity Lutheran Church.
