DAVID E. DAVIS, 77
DAVID E. DAVIS, 77, died Thursday, February 5, 2004, at Select Specialty Hospital. Born April 7, 1926, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Clarence and Carolyn (Kell) Davis. He retired from Fruehauf Corp. in 1987 as a Shear Operator/Welder after 42 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and Korea and a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Sharon L. (Willig) Davis of Fort Wayne; two sons Karl Davis of Fort Wayne and Kevan R. Davis of Huntertown; two daughters Kathryn Stamper and Karolyn Dillman, both of Fort Wayne; three sisters Enid Honeick of Ames, Iowa, Sharon Jokay of Fort Wayne, Becky Bailey of Medford, Ore; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Walter K. Davis.
Service was 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10th at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1126 Barr St., with Pastor John Hamer officiating. Visitation was Monday, Febrauary 9th at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel. Military graveside service was at Covington Memorial Gardens.
