WALLACE I. BURTON, 77

Wallace I. Burton, 77, died Friday November 11, 2003 at Riverbend Health Care, Fort Wayne. Born August 8, 1926 in Huntington, Indiana, he retired from Memcor in 1986 as a foreman. He was a member of American Legion Post 241 and was a Sheriff’s reservist in Wabash County. He was an Army veteran who enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Fort Wayne. He was married to Geraldine “Jerry” Burton, for 56 years. His parents were James and Retta Bales Burton, both deceased. Survivors include a daughter Catherine Grudowski, Orlando, FL and sons Craig Burton, Indianapolis, and Rohn Burton, Fort Wayne. A brother Roger Burton, Huntington, and sisters Marguerite Forest, Wabash, IN, and Mary Gurtner, Virginia. He had three grandchildren and seven step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son John Burton. Services were 11:00AM Tuesday, November 11th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, Fort Wayne.
