SHOP WITH A COP
“We have officially begun our fundraising program for this year’s annual ‘SHOP WITH A COP’ program,” announced Wayne Lodge #14 President Phil Geller. “These programs will be held at the Illinois Road and Lima Road MEIJER stores in December”, continued President Geller. “Last year we had our greatest programs ever.”
“The excellent staff at MEIJER was very helpful to our local police officers in helping find what the kids needed among such a beautiful and bountiful assortment of clothing,” he said. “This air of friendliness and sincerity was truly catching and helped turn an already bright night into an absolutely dazzling one. Without a doubt, this was the best ‘SHOP WITH A COP’ PROGRAM WE HAVE EVER HAD,” he continued.
He said, “Of course, there are always naysayers and forecasters of gloom and doom, spouting forth predictions of disaster. We, on the other hand, believe in the power of faith. Faith in you, our many good friends, old and new, who have always come through for our programs for local children in good times and bad. You are the bedrock from which we draw our strength and optimism,” he concluded.
The need is very great this year. Please send your most generous contributions to: Wayne Lodge #14, Three Rivers East, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. For more information, call the FOP Community Benefits Office at 424-6600.
