SALVATORE “SAM” DINOVO, 92
Salvatore “Sam” DiNovo, 92, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the Hospice Home. A native of Chicago and a resident of Fort Wayne since 1928 (he lived in Columbia City from 1976 to 1991). He owned Arrow Motor Transit, the first common carrier in Fort Wayne, for 33 years. He owned S & L Trucking for 15 years. He retired in 1975. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and Fort Wayne Transportation Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Lena Zion who passed away in 1991.
He is survived by sons Salvatore “Todd” DiNovo, Fort Wayne; August “Gus” DiNovo, Holts Summit, Missouri; Vincent “Jim” DiNovo, Seffner, Florida; Philip DiNovo, Fort Wayne; Russell DiNovo, Fort Wayne; 17 Grandchildren, and 15 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at St. Therese Catholic Church with burial in Catholic Cemetery.
