Eldon M. Zent, 75, died Monday, December 23, 2002 in Fort Wayne. A native of Allen County, Indiana, he was a machinist at Navistar International Corporation and retired in 1982. He was a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church and a veteran of WWII. He was interested in racecars. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Zent.

He is survived by his wife Maxine D. Zent, Fort Wayne; sons Steve Zent, Fort Wayne; Bill Zent, Fort Wayne; Gary Zent, Fort Wayne; daughters Donna Bowersock, Fort Wayne; Sue Swartz, Kimmell, Indiana; Peggy Doherty, Austin, Texas; sisters Margie Dennie, Fort Wayne; Betty Mills, Fort Wayne; Ruth Ballinger, Fort Wayne; Rosie Dawson, Ossian, Indiana; Donna Mae Dawson, Ossian, Indiana; Juanita Gillenwater, Fort Wayne; brothers Walter Zent, Fort Wayne; Lloyd Zent, Fort Wayne; Jim Zent, Arizona; ? brothers Larry Zent, Fort Wayne; Allen Zent, Fort Wayne; ? sisters Sally Stuff, Fort Wayne; Chris Zent, Fort Wayne; Robin Zent, Fort Wayne; Sandy Zent, Fort Wayne; Althea Hedges, Fort Wayne; Beverly Lawson, Fort Wayne; 11 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with AmVets Military Graveside Services and burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to NASCAR.
