PICNIC AT ELMHURST THEATRE
The Elmhurst Theatre Department proudly presents the Pulitzer Prize winning play Picnic by William Inge. The play will be presented November 1 and 2 at 7:30pm in the Elmhurst Auditorium.
Picnic is the tale of a stranger who comes to town and unwittingly becomes a catalyst for change; Picnic shakes up the lives of its typical characters, dredging up suppressed feelings and buried resentments. The play was later turned into a major motion picture starring, William Holden and Kim Novak.
In the cast are: Aaron Mann, Allie Townsend, Jesika Hovis, Jack Schnellenberger, Sarah Walker, D’Arcy Roberts, Michelle McKinney, Clayton Gaham, Janee Turner, Cristina Herrera, Megan Wolf and, student director Andrew Skaros.
The play is directed by Kirby A. Volz and all technical direction by Don Goss.
Tickets will go on sale starting Monday, October 28. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. You may reserve tickets by calling 425-7510 x 424. All seats are reserved. The play is not recommended for children under age 10.
