RICHARD O. GUNKEL, 77

Richard O. Gunkel, 77, died Friday, August, 16, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Fort Wayne, he was a winder at General Electric for 41 years and retired in 1985. He was an avid gardener and liked jigsaw puzzles. He is preceded in death by daughter Joan Gunkel and a brother.

He is survived by his wife Joneal S. Gunkel, Fort Wayne; daughter Sherry J. Fivecoate, Fort Wayne; sisters Vivian Smith, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mary L. Robinson, Fort Wayne; Grandchildren Katrina J. Marcum, Fort Wayne; Daniel G. Fivecoate, Grand Blanc, Michigan; Great Grandsons Casey Marcum & Andrew Fivecoate; 2 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, August 18, 2002 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Allen County Heart Association.
