JAMES R. KUMMER, 77

James R. Kummer, 77, died Saturday, August 18, 2002, at his Fort Wayne residence. A native of Peneto, Indiana, he was a self-employed drywaller and painter. He retired in 1986. He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Clerissa Merritt Kummer.

He is survived by his wife Mary A. Kummer, Fort Wayne; daughter Alice Ann Smith, Fort Wayne; brothers Earl Kummer, Bluffton; Donald Kummer, Muncie; Wayne Kummer, Hartford City; Robert Kummer, Iowa; sisters Mary Chenoweth, Trinadad, Texas; Norma Jean Collett, Muncie; Maxine Foltz, Muncie; and Edna Tschannan, Warren, Indiana.

Services were held Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at St. Therese Catholic Church. Memorials to Visiting Nurse Service or St. Therese Catholic Church. Information courtesy of Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals.
