ERIN’S HOUSE FOR GRIEVING CHILDREN
Erin’s House provides by-monthly peer-support groups for children ages 3 to 25 that are grieving the terminal illness or death of someone they love. The program goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children, teens and young adults can share their experiences and begin the healing process. Services are provided at no cost to families. Please call 423-2466 for an application. Erin’s House has many volunteer opportunities. Facilitator training dates and times have been scheduled for 2002, so if you’re interested, please give us a call.

Note: Spike and the Bulldogs will be appearing on the entertainment stage at Hoagland Days Festival 2002 on Friday, June 21, from 8pm to 9pm and also from 9:30pm to 10:30pm. The concert is free to the public. Spike and the Bulldogs has been the opening band for The Beach Boys, Herman’s Hermits, The Buckinghams, and Chubby Checker. Everyone likes the Oldies but Goodies so plan on coming to Hoagland Festival and listening to your favorite songs from yesteryear, featuring strong vocals, superb sound, and lighting. Return with Spike and the Bulldogs to the days of the Drive-In and Sock Hops.
ENGLISH/SPANISH VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Through a joint effort, St. Joseph and St. Paul parishes will offer a Vacation Bible School at St. Joseph Church, Brooklyn and Hale, the week of July 15-19 for children grades kindergarten through sixth. Registration is on-going at both churches with a $15 fee. Call 432-5113 for information.

WALKERS NEEDED
The 2002 Fort Wayne MS WALK, presented by Christopher & Banks, will be held on June 1, 2002, at the West Pavilion of Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne. The Walk, which will begin at 9am, is the largest fund-raiser for the National MS Society and benefits over 6,000 people living Indiana and northwest Kentucky affected by Mulitple Sclerosis. NORTH AMERICAN YOUTH SPORTS ANNUAL SUMMER REGIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN THE FORT WAYNE, INDIANA AREAS HAS OPENINGS
North American Youth Sports announced today that they still have openings in their annual summer regional youth basketball tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Northside High School from June 28 to 30, 2002.
This tournament will feature ten different brackets. They include 5th-6th, grade boys; 5th-6th grade girls; 7th grade boys; 7th grade girls; 8th grade boys; 8th grade girls; 9th-10th grade boys; 9th-10th grade girls; 11th-12th grade boys; and 11th-12th grade girls. All grades are based on the grade in which a student is currently enrolled. The entry fee for this tournament is $200 and guarantees each team a minimum of five games. June’s Featured Artist is Chris Johnson. Chris specializes in stoneware pottery. She teaches at her studio, at the Art Source, at Fort Wayne Parks and recreation Department, and is the Artist in Residence at Harrison Hill Elementary School. Chris does over 10 Art Fairs a year.
