HOWARD T. SHANK, 84
Howard T. Shank, 84, died Thursday, February 14 at his Venice, Florida, residence. A native of Lima, Ohio, he was a partner in H.B. Shank & Sons Mechanical Contractors. He retired in 1982. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus – Thomas A. Brandon Council #451, and St. Paul’s Chapel, Clear Lake, Angola, Indiana. He was the son of H. B. Shank and Julia (Clancy) Shank. He was preceded in death by son Mark A. Shank, Timothy J. Shank, grandson Benjamin Shank, and sister Margaret A. Rondot.
He is survived by wife Alice M. (Houlihan) Shank, daughters Sue E. Wilkinson, Syracuse, Indiana; Julie A. Hanchar, Fort Wayne; Colleen S. Corona, Fort Wayne; Molly A. Nagle, Valparaiso, Indiana; son Daniel J. Shank, Longmont, Colorado; brother Thomas C. Shank, Fort Wayne; 19 Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
Services (Mass of Christian Resurrection) were held Wednesday, February 20, 2002 with burial in Catholic Cemetery; Rev. Andrew Corona & Rev. William J. Kummer officiated.
