MARTHA ELLEN O’CONNELL, 80

Martha Ellen O’Connell, 80, died Friday, September 14 at Hospice Home of NE Indiana in Fort Wayne. A native of Hartford City, Indiana, she was a cook at Parkview Hospital. She retired in 1987 after 18 years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles C. O’Connell who passed away in 1971.

She is survived by a son Thomas B. O’Connell, Roanoke; a daughter Kathleen Spreen, Roanoke; brothers Jean Landis, Montpelier, Indiana; Billy Landis, Hartford City; and 5 Grandchildren (Chris O’Connell, Ryan O’Connell, Kelly Spreen, Kimberly Spreen, and Shaun Spreen).

Services were held Monday, September 17 at St. Therese Catholic Church with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Hartford City, Indiana. Memorials to Hospice Home of NE Indiana or St. Therese Catholic School. Information furnished by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals.
