To: Waynedale News – Editor
An open letter of thanks to Marty Jasper, manager of the Hideaway Bar & Grill, 6800 Elzey Street, Al Such, Waynedale resident, and the many, many un-named and unselfish patrons and donors who were responsible for a generous cash donation to the Officers and firefighters assigned to Engine House #5, 5801 Bluffton Road (next door to the former Standard Federal Bank).
The firefighters at #5 are sworn to protect life and property here in the Waynedale community. Many of us who work at #5, either live in this area, or have close ties to it. And we know many of you. We too were affected by the tragedy of the 9/11/01 attack and we can sincerely appreciate you thinking of us.
May St. Florian, the patron Saint of firemen, guard and protect you.
