CATHERINE E. “KATIE” POLLEY, 92
CATHERINE E. “KATIE” POLLEY, 92, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, January 8, 2009, at her son’s home. Born April 18, 1916, in Warren, Ohio, she was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She worked at Wayne Paper Box, Flashfold, and as a baker and custodian at Fort Wayne Community Schools. She enjoyed fishing, square dancing, bowling, and crocheting.
Surviving are her daughter, Madonna Patty of Fort Wayne; son, Wayne (Ella) Polley Jr. of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Polley, in 1984; son, Terry Polley; granddaughter, Dawn Patty; and brothers, Jacob, Frank and Theodore Kerns.
Funeral service was Monday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne. Calling was Tuesday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
