MAYOR’S NIGHT IN
Mayor Tom Henry, division directors and department heads met with the public on Monday, January 26 between 5:30 & 7:30 PM. The objective was to listen to suggestions on how to improve the city of Fort Wayne.
City residents scheduled appointments to meet directly with the Mayor and walk-ins talked to division directors, department heads and members of the Mayor’s staff.
Melissa Jaegle, President of Master Consultants LP, was one of the participants that met with Mayor Henry. She suggested the City find a way to provide displaced workers with materials and training in their job search process. She hoped that a job transition counselor could work through the neighborhood associations to provide those unemployed with job hunting skills such as preparing for interviews, resume writing and educational opportunities. Jaegle was interested in volunteering wherever needed.
