RICHARD L. NORTON, 71
Richard L. Norton, 71, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital.  A native of Reading, Michigan, he was a wire drawer for Rea Magnet Wire and retired in 1993.  He was also treasurer of Local AFL, CIO #257 for 26 years.  He was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #82, Active Korean War Veterans Association-Chapter I, Past Commander of Marine Corp League for 3 years, and Board member of Veterans National Memorial Shrine: Committee of Chapel Museum Building Fund on Shrine Grounds.  He enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Norton, Fort Wayne; daughter Cheryl McCormick, Fort Wayne; sons Daniel Norton, Fort Wayne; James Norton, Fort Wayne; Stuart Norton, Fort Wayne; and 9 Grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, February 24, 2003 at Waynedale United Methodist Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorials to Korean War Memorial Trust Fund, Chapel Museum Building Fund, or the Marine Corps League Scholarship Fund. Information furnished by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals.
