HARDY JUMPS FOR CHANCE TO REACH CITY ALL-TIME SCORING LIST
James Hardy, Elmhurst’s senior guard, scored 28 points on Friday night, January 24. This raised Hardy’s career scoring total to 1,553 points. He is currently third on the city’s all-time scoring list. The current city all-time scoring leader is Tom Baack of Concordia Lutheran (1963), with 1,623 points. Hardy is trying to reach former South Side Archer Willie Long’s record of 1,606 points. He has been averaging 29 points per game and has 8 regular season games remaining, along with one post-season tournament game.
Hardy led the team to a victory with a win of 62-54 over the Wayne Generals last Friday. The Elmhurst Trojan’s will be hosting Bishop Luers (2-9, 2-5 SAC) this Friday night, January 30th at 7:45pm.
