DEWAYNE A. SCHELE, 90
DEWAYNE A. SCHELE, 90, of Merrillan, WI, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born May 31, 1914, in Fort Wayne, he was a Fort Wayne resident most of his life, moving to Merrillan in 2001. He retired in 1979 as a Tool Designer for General Electric Corp. and was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church and The Society For The Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.). He also enjoyed Caballeros and Ballroom dancing with his wife of 57 years, Jane, who preceded him in death March 1994.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra J. (Steve) Quance of Merrillan; son, David M. (Elaine) Schele of Austin, Texas; grandson, Joseph (Angela) Quance of Eau Claire, WI; and great-granddaughter, Acacia Quance.
Funeral service was Tuesday, July 13, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
