WALTER E. SOMMER, 90

WALTER E. SOMMER, 90, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Lutheran Home. The Berne native, was a graduate of South Side High School and retired as a sales representative with National Mill Supply Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Sommer, in 2001.

Survivors include his sisters, Marcella (Denny) Gerig of Berne and Edith Carrington of Lansing, Michigan; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Charles) Wiles, and brother-in-law, Ralph (Gloria) Paetz, both of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Thursday, August 5, at Lutheran Home Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd. Burial in Maple Lawn (Nine Mile) Cemetery. Arrangements by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road

The preferred memorials are Risen Savior Lutheran Church or Lutheran Home Chapel.
