RICHARD H. CHILCOTE, 75

RICHARD H. CHILCOTE, 75, of Woodburn, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born August 11, 1929, in Fort Wayne, he was co-owner and operator of Pond-A-River Golf Club, Woodburn. He was associated with golf courses in and around the Fort Wayne area for 65 years. He was Founder of the Hoosier Turf Grass Association, a member of the American Legion Post 253, Antwerp and Woodburn United Methodist Church. He served in the Air Guard, being discharged in 1954.

Surviving are his wife Martha Jane Chilcote of Woodburn; daughter, Diane (David) Arnold of Huntington; son, John M. (Carol) Chilcote of Antwerp, Ohio; brother, Donald Chilcote of Warsaw; and four grandchildren.

Funeral service was Wednesday, March 23 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials to American Lung Association or donor’s choice.
