WALTER A. LUNDQUIST, 87
WALTER A. LUNDQUIST, 87, formerly of Fort Wayne and Zephyrhills, Florida, died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehab, Angola. Born April 26, 1918, in Stacy, Minnesota, he was a supervisor at Zollner Pistons Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 1976. He was a pitcher for the fast pitch softball Zollner Reserves team from 1938 to 1952, winning the city championship, in 1949. He was a member of Assembly of God, Lakeland, Florida. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. A devout Christian and a great and loving husband, dad and grandpa.
Surviving are his wife, Constance M. “Connie” Lundquist of Angola; sons, Terrace (Sharon) Lundquist of Fort Wayne, Donald (Bev) Lundquist of Apollo Beach, Florida and Gary (Tina) Lundquist of Angola; daughter, Sandy (Bob) Charleston of Huntertown; sister, Eva Anderson of Rush City, Minnesota; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Monday, July 18, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
