BRIAN K. SUMMERS, 61

BRIAN K. SUMMERS, 61, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital. Born February 28, 1944, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Dale Summers and Virginia Kloepper Johnson. He worked in Sales for Nowak Supply Co., retiring after 26 years in 2001. He played lead guitar for Thee Group; was a guitar teacher for The Music Center and Guy Zimmerman and also gave private lessons.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth A. (Hawk) Summers of Fort Wayne; mother, Virginia Johnson of Fort Wayne; son, Jason (Jennifer) Summers of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jamie (Thep) Bounphisai of Fort Wayne; and son, Jason (Nicole) DiNovo of Cinncinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Summers.

“He was well loved by everyone. He knew no strangers. His sense of humor and wit will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.”

Service was Monday, July 18, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with the Rev. Rich Pagan officiating. Burial in Poe Williamsport Cemetery.
