GLADYS I. (LANDFAIR) LEININGER, 96, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at her residence. Born March 12, 1909, in Clark County, Indiana, she was head of the Suit Department at J.C. Penney, retiring in 1970.
Surviving are sons, Donald E. Landfair of Fredericksburg, Ohio, Robert W. Landfair of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Stanley D. Landfair of Muncie; daughter, Linda K. Alday of Fort Wayne; stepchildren, James E. Landfair of Portland and Beulah Welty of Fort Wayne; sisters, Helen Keckler of Sherwood, Michigan, Florence Campbell of Colon, Michigan, Gene Copeland of Tekonsha, Michigan and Margaret Loose of Tekonsha, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Stanley Landfair and Ed Leininger; one grandchild; two stepchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service was Friday, September 2 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Graveside service was Friday September 2, at Greenpark Cemetery, Portland.
