MORRIS H. SPRINKLE, 83
MORRIS H. SPRINKLE, 83, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 in Covington Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 5, 1923 in Wabash. After graduating from Butler University in 1950, he was employed as a Pharmacist for Meyer Brothers and continued his career with Hooks Drug Stores. He was instrumental in the startup of Hooks Convalescent Center, before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. He was a dedicated volunteer in the Shrine Circus. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran serving with the Flying Tigers in the Pacific Theatre During World War II.
Surviving are daughters, Linda (William) Klage of Fort Wayne and Diane (Dennis) Koomler of Fort Wayne; sons, Steven Sprinkle of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey (Janell) Sprinkle of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Tim (Heather) Klage, Matt (Stacy) Klage, Jessica (Andy) Teipen, Mike (Jessica) Klage, Rick (Natalie) Koomler, Julie Koomler, Rachel Koomler and Payton H. Sprinkle; great-grandchildren, Jack, Sam, Luke, Andy, Grace, Charlie, Caroline and Avery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Meo) Sprinkle.
Service was Saturday, November 25 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home. Graveside service with Military Honors. Burial in St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Cemetery.
