ROBERT S. “BOB” SIEVERS, 90
ROBERT S. “BOB” SIEVERS, 90, died Monday, September 3, 2007, at Riverbend Health Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a Radio Personality with WOWO Radio for 50 years. He was a commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and the Korean Conflict. He co-authored the first Instructional Manual for Radar Operations while in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, charter member of Foster Park Lions Club, board member of S.P.C.A., member of Fort Wayne Amateur Radio Club, board member of Diehm Museum, Naval Reserve of Fort Wayne and Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet of Fort Wayne; daughters, Carolyn (Mal) Davis of Wautoma, Wisconsin, Cynthia (Greg) Fett of Toledo, Ohio; granddaughters, Dana Schoof, Jennifer Fett, Lisa Fett and Lindsay (Jason) Miller; great-grandchildren, Devin and Jade Miller; and his dog, Mamie.
Service was Friday, September 7 at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue. Calling was Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
