PATRICIA L. MEYER, 92
PATRICIA L. MEYER, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. She was born October 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Herman and Mamie (Landrigan) Scher. She worked as a registered nurse for nearly 40 years. She was a lifelong member at St. Therese Catholic Church where she was involved with the choir. She belonged to the Cadet Nursing Corps and enjoyed sewing and playing euchre.
She will be remembered for making the best coffee cakes.
Surviving family include her children, Denise (Dick) Larimore, Tim (Marcia) Meyer, Ellen (Jeff) Branstrator, Mary Ann (Tom) Koontz, Deb (John) Underwood; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence and Leonard Scher, Mary Juergens, and Martha “Mert” Pyle.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Arthur E. Meyer; and siblings, Catherine “Kate” Bauer, Virginia “Ginny” Bauer, Phil, Tom, and Walter Francis Scher.
Mass of Christian Burial was 11:00 am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with a rosary at 7:30 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to American Alzheimer’s Association or Masses.
