LOCAL AUTHOR JUDY POST PUBLISHES NEW BOOK

Huntington City-Township Public Library welcomed local authors Jean Carroll and Judy Post to an author visit and book signing at the HCTPL Main Library, 200 West Market Street, Huntington, on Tuesday, January 15 at 6:30 pm.
Carroll and Post will also lead a discussion of writing fiction, comparing the use of formal plotting and outlining vs. the off-the-top-of-your-head or what-happens-next method.
Their new book, IT’S A MYSTERY: Tales of Intrigue, is a collection of short stories published in September by PublishAmerica. The subjects and settings range from a wistful street lady to a house full of retirees, from cottages to courtrooms, from a shopkeeper to a truck driver. The book dishes up coffee and tea, and features stories with cats, dogs, parrots, and even a guinea pig.
Copies of their book may be purchased for $12.50, and the authors will be happy to sign them.
Before turning her hand to murder, Judy Post taught elementary school. She has had stories in Alfred Hitchcock’s and Ellery Queen’s mystery magazines, as well as in three WOMANSLEUTH anthologies. She’s had stories included in 100 VICIOUS LITTLE VAMPIRES, 365 SCARY STORIES, and in 100 CRAFTY LITTLE CAT CRIMES. She also has a chapbook of short stories available from Wormhole Books. Post lives in Waynedale.
Jean Carroll is the author of O CAT WEST, a story about the people a lost cat meets on its journey home, and A PLACE TO LOVE, a romance set in the fictional town of Grateful, Indiana. She has had numerous short stories and articles published in magazines such as Woman’s World, Woman’s Day, Grit, Mature Living, and Cats & Kittens, as well as in magazines for writers. She writes a monthly book review column for the Huntington Herald-Press, and is a long time resident of Huntington County.
Carroll and Post are members of Summit City Scribes, a writers group in Fort Wayne.
