HARRISON SQUARE PARTNERS INVITE COMMUNITY TO OPEN HOUSE

Latest designs, digital fly-through and progress report on tap for public event

Hardball Capital, Barry Real Estate Companies, White Lodging Services and the City of Fort Wayne hosted a community open house on Thursday, February 21 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to showcase progress on Harrison Square. The public event was held in Room Jefferson A of the Grand Wayne Center, 120 West Jefferson Boulevard.

The evening featured an update by the Harrison Square team along with a display of the latest renderings and development-related information. A highlight of the open house was the preview of the new digital fly-through, providing a detailed, multidimensional perspective of the entire complex. Ample time for questions and comments was also planned.

“Harrison Square is bringing new energy and new investment into the heart of Fort Wayne,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “This catalyst project is only one facet of our collective vision for a thriving community, but we’re already seeing its power to generate new ideas and excitement throughout the region. We are pleased to welcome our private-sector partners as they share the progress story of this centerpiece venture.”

Harrison Square is a signature private-public initiative in the community’s efforts to strengthen downtown Fort Wayne and foster new opportunities to live, work and enjoy the core of the community. The new community gathering place is expected to spark significant economic growth and new jobs, and enhance Fort Wayne’s role as a regional leader.

The $120 million mixed-use development features 30,000 square feet of street-level retail space, 60 residential condominiums, a new 250-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, state-of-the-art, multiuse ballpark and a 900-space parking garage. Harrison Square is unique in that all of the project components will be completed simultaneously, affording maximum impact. Future phases are anticipated to provide an additional 120 condominium units and 60,000 square feet of retail space.
