MARY KATHRYN BURNAU, 82
MARY KATHRYN BURNAU, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born November 29, 1932 in Wells County, IN to the late Herman and Dorothy (Bender) Raber. She worked as a homemaker in addition to having worked as a travel agent for Encore Travel. She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church and the Aboite Little Turtle Women’s Club. She volunteered at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and Fox Island. She was also known to many as Katy the Clown.
Surviving are her children, Barbara A. (Stephen) Wynne of Plano, Texas, Bruce A. Burnau, and Brian L. (Jodi) Burnau, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Adam Wynne, Alex Wynne, Clayton Bennett, Courtney (Pat) Elkins, Vance Burnau, and Kassidy Burnau; and great grandchildren, Cecilia and Cynthia Elkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Burnau in 2000.
Funeral Service was Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 AM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation also Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
Preferred memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo or Fox Island.
