JERRY W. MOORE, 72

JERRY W. MOORE, 72, of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Indiana. Born in Winchester, Indiana, Jerry graduated from Union City High School (Indiana) and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963.
He will be remembered as a man who appreciated good food, good friends and good times.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Leona “Lee” (Freiburger) Moore; son, Bryan (Beth) Moore of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Knipstein of Hoagland, IN; six grandchildren, Emily, Nathaniel, Mitchell, Benjamin, Samantha, and Callen; and brother, Randy Moore of Union City, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Elizabeth (Yost) Moore; and two brothers, Richard and Steven Moore.

There was a celebration of his life on Saturday, August 8, 2015 beginning at 2:00pm at Carol and Geralynn’s.

Memorials may be made to VFW Post #1421, 7712 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, IN, 46809.

Arrangements by Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2403 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne.
