SOUTH SIDE CATHOLIC SINGERS SHOW CHOIR WRAP UP FIRST SEASON
The South Side Catholic Singers recently wrapped up their first middle school show choir season. This was their first year of competition. The students in the South Side Catholic Singers are made up of 5th through 8th grade students from St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School, St. John the Baptist School, St. John New Haven School, Most Precious Blood School, St. Joseph Hessen Cassel School and Huntington Catholic School.
The South Side Catholic Singers performed at the Homestead High School Show Choir Invitational, the Bishop Luers’ Midwest Show Choir Invitational and the Carroll High School Classic Invitational. Their competition program consisted of the songs “ABC/123/I Want You Back,” “Forget You,” “For Good,” and “Let’s Hear It For the Boy.”
The South Side Catholic Singers also opened for the Kathy Troccoli concert held at St. Elizabeth Seton parish in November 2013.
The South Side Catholic Singers are made up of 31 Catholic school girls and boys. They were directed by Mrs. Katie Slee.
