ANNA LOU GRAY STRONG, 88
ANNA LOU GRAY STRONG, 88, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Kingston Care. She was born in Grant County to the late Corda P. and Ersie Alice Maddox on April 10, 1925. She worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools in Food Services for 16 years and retired in 1990 after 15 years as Director of Food Services for Southwest Allen County Schools.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela McCord of Fort Wayne; a son, Rex Gray of Palmer, Alaska; two step sons, Richard Strong of Fort Wayne and Kenneth Strong of Bushnell, Florida; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Gray and Benjamin (Ellie) Lee Gray; and two step grandchildren, Joe and Paige Strong.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gaynel Max Gray in 1993; her second husband, Franklin E. Strong in 2011; a son, Terry Gray; brothers, Leon Maddox and George Maddox; and a sister, Esther Gaskill.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. Burial in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, IN.
