RICHARD D. DELLINGER, 70
RICHARD D. DELLINGER, 70, of Fort Wayne, fell asleep in death suddenly on September 11, 2012. Born in Willshire, Ohio, he was an active member of the Waynedale Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Sandpoint Road, Fort Wayne. In addition, he played the piano professionally for many decades in the Fort Wayne and surrounding area which was a highlight of his life.
He was married to Marcella (Wiggs) for nearly 51 years and she survives him.
Also surviving is his son, Eric R. (Michelle) Dellinger of Columbia City; daughter, Kelly (William) Nofer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three grandchildren, Addison Dellinger, Sydney and Sheldon Nofer; mother, Mary Dellinger of Willshire, Ohio; sister, Rebecca (Horst) Steinke of Decatur; and brothers, Thomas of Delaware, Ohio and James of Willshire, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fermin Dellinger.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rhinehart Music Center, Indiana – Purdue, Fort Wayne, 2101 East Coliseum Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with calling two hours prior. Steven Wahl officiated.
