HILLARD DAN HINER, 86
HILLARD DAN HINER, 86, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Fort Wayne. He was born July 26, 1925 to the late Hillard and Lucile (Clark) Hiner in Peru, Indiana. He was a mechanical engineer, a truck driver and a farmer. He was member of Masonic Lodge #725 for 59 years, Scottish Rite for 59 years, VFW 1421, American Legion Post 14, Albion Eagles, Forty and Eight, AOPA, and Piper Cub Club. Mr. Hiner was married to Virginia Lou (Koehlinger) Hiner for 64 years. He enjoyed building, flying and drafting.
He is also survived by his children, Debie Hiner of Markle, Hillard Daniel (Amy) Hiner of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Hugh Dennis (Deborah S.) Hiner of Angola; grandchildren, Christopher Hiner, Daniel Hiner, Jonathan Eisberg, Shane Hiner, Kyle Hiner, Jennifer Eisberg, Aaron Howell, and Rachel Adams; and 15 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister Betty Lou Bodeen and his daughter Donna Kay Hiner.
Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Ft. Wayne with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19 at the funeral home. Burial in St. John Cemetery.
