AVALON MISSIONARY COLLECTING TO HELP TORNADO VICTIMS
A Waynedale church is gearing up to assist those affected by the devastating tornado that struck southern Indiana recently.
Needed are items such as, toilet paper, facemasks, paper plates, paper towels, diapers, gloves of all kinds, plastic trash bags and hygiene products. These supplies can be brought to Avalon Missionary Church, 1500 Lower Huntington Road so the church can distribute the goods to the residents of Henryville.
Many of the town’s residents lost their homes and belongings to the tornado. Avalon Missionary believes it is a matter of principle and religious values to give others the help they would expect in the same situation.
It is going to take more than a week or two to recover. This first round of assistance will help people with basic needs like personal items.
Avalon Missionary Church will be collecting donations for tornado relief from April 2-April 6, Monday to Friday, noon to 6pm at 1500 Lower Huntington Road.
