NOLAN EUGENE ALLISON

NOLAN EUGENE ALLISON, passed on to a better place Monday, July 25, 2011. Born March 17, 1935, he attended Wayne-dale Elementary School and Elmhurst High School, where he played basketball. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a Radar Operator in Morocco. He was employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools as a Custodian and Groundskeeper for 23 years. He was a life long Detroit Tigers and Lions fan, was quick to speak his mind and was a good guy. He is survived by his loving companion, Janice Carol Snyder; daughters, Dawn Renee Tyner and Deanna Lynn (Kevin) McDermit; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Calvin Dean Allison, Russell Duane Allison and Loren Keith Allison; an aunt, Delores Henemeyer; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Memorial service was 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at Waynedale United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, IN.
