RONALD L. “PETE” MARTIN, 77
RONALD L. “PETE” MARTIN, 77, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Zanesville. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and worked as a machinist with Zollner Piston for 40 years, retiring in 1995 and most recently a shuttle driver with Dimension Ford North. Pete was an avid IU basketball and Cub’s fan and also enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Allen) Lock of Hoagland; son, Ryan (Megan) Martin of Fort Wayne; sister, Pauline Young of Bluffton, and Shirley (Phil) Husband of Fort Wayne; brother, Larry (Edie) Martin of Ossian; grandchildren, Rachel Lock, Chelsea Lock, Coral Martin, Reese Martin, and Sage Martin.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; brothers, Kenneth and Herb; sisters, Ruby Rhodes and Imogene Deam.
Service was 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Calling from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
