BONNIE A. KRILL, 89

BONNIE A. KRILL, 89BONNIE A. KRILL, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Diana McIntosh. She was born July 30, 1921 in Fort Wayne. Bonnie was a sales associate with Hutner’s Paris on Rudisill Blvd. from 1958 thru 1963, and then again from 1973 until she retired in 1986. She was also a checkout lady at Rogers Market and Berger Dairy in Waynedale from 1964 thru 1972. Bonnie was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and Order or Eastern Star, Chapter 600. She was married to Maurice L. Krill on February 28, 1942 for nearly 50 years until his death on October 8, 1991. Bonnie was a people person and seemed to never meet someone she didn’t already know. She loved and enjoyed her family, friends, and church.  She was often called “The Lucille Ball of the family.” Bonnie and Maurice enjoyed their winters in Florida from 1975 until his death. After his death, she drove herself to Florida. Her last drive was in 2003.  She also enjoyed her trips out west to reunions of her husband’s WWII, U.S. Army squadron.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Krill-Long and Diana McIntosh both of Fort Wayne; son, Don (Yvonne) Krill of Hoagland; sisters, Sally Moringstar of New Haven, Pat (Jim) Stahl of Fort Wayne; sister in law, Shirley Sheets of Newbury Park, California; grandchildren, Rob, Andy, and Brian Long of Fort Wayne, Randy (Betty) Long of Lake In The Hills, Illinois, Jill McIntosh of Carlsbad, California, Glen (Julie) McIntosh of Novi, Michigan, David (Beth) Krill of Fort Wayne, Derek and Charlie Krill of Hoagland; great grandchildren, Linda and Justin Baker of Lake In The Hills, Illinois, Arielle Weiss and Preston McIntosh of Wrightstown, Wisconsin, Austin and Katie McIntosh of Novi, Michigan, and Skyler Long of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice; mother, Della Sheets; father, Allen Hart; stepfather, Don Sheets; brothers Don, Wayne and Ned Sheets; sisters, Neva Hammer, Joann Weidner, Wanda Miller, Nancy Sheets and son in law Bob McIntosh.
Funeral service was Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 P.M., at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne, IN with calling 1 hour prior to services. Calling was also Friday, January 21, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
The family encouraged attendees to honor Bonnie’s favorite colors of yellow, green, and orange.
