PHYLLIS JOAN ELLENBERGER, 83
Phyllis Joan Ellenberger, 83, died peacefully with her family at her side at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born September 20, 1927 in Wells County, she was the daughter of the late Casper J. and Marie (Bennett) Holloway. Mrs. Ellenberger spent her life raising her family, tending her beautiful flower gardens and managing her rental properties. She attended Living Faith Missionary Church.
Surviving are her children, Janet L. (Walter) Schuchmann of Fort Collins, Colorado; Jane A. (Roger) Franklin, H. Glenn (Cindy) Ellenberger, Garth E. Ellenberger, and Tammi J. (Terry) Wallace all of Fort Wayne; sister, Mary Paxon of Muncie; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her husband Howard A. Ellenberger preceded her in death in 1986 and two sisters, Dollie Raber and Merle Ropp.
Funeral services were at The Prairie Grove Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation was also on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
Burial at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
