Opal Faye Williamson, 88

Opal Faye Williamson, 88, of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was born on May 1, 1931, in Hope, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Hugh and Armittie (Sims) Spears. She worked at home caring for and raising her family. She was a member at Nine Mile United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, gardening, and being with her family. Surviving family include her children, Patricia (Richard) Heck, Johnny Williamson, Sharon (Jerry) Brunkhart, Don (Pam) Williamson, Jeanne (Roy) Nunn, Tamara (David) Snyder; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; and sisters, Lora Lee Hickerson and Louise Patterson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, John Williamson; one granddaughter, two grandsons; one great granddaughter; 10 siblings; and daughter-in-law, Alana Williamson. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Nine Mile Maple Lawn Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be left to the church.
