A highlight of the evening is presentation of the winners of an essay contest for local high schools students of German. Prizes will be awarded.

EVERYBODY NEEDS A ROCK

Add’l: Though we might not realize it, we all use rocks every day! We will explore why there are so many rocks (and sand and gravel) in northern Indiana, use models to find out how they got here, and discover some ways people use them. We’ll also walk to an old gravel pit to explore what kinds of rocks are there and use a number of senses to learn about them. We will even look for our own special rocks to take home.
