Shirley D. Morken, 76
Shirley D. Morken, 76, passed away November 15, 2018 in Fort Wayne surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Arkansas to the late Clarence and Jewell Bryan. She worked at several high-end restaurants in Fort Wayne including Carriage Inn and Café Johnell. She also worked at Lutheran Hospital for many years. Shirley will be remembered for the kindness and love she showed others and for her homemade food, soaps and pet treats she made for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard Morken of Fort Wayne; children, Janet Forbes, Ron Taylor, Debbie Phipps, Ramona Silk, Bill Morken, and Andy Morken; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Silvia Allen. Shirley was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Willcut; sons, David Miles and Louie Morken and 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Service was 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling beginning at 9:00 am until time of service. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or the Allen County SPCA.
