10TH ANNUAL CHILDREN W/ SPECIAL NEEDS FOR AM VETS, FUNDRAISER

Add’l: To raise funds that help military families with special needs children in our community. Includes a car/ bike/ truck show, bake sale, food, entertainment, kids activities, poker run, silent auction. ALL proceeds go to this fund and stay local.

AUDITIONS FOR THE WIZARD OF OZ
When: June 23 & July 7, 11a; June 26, 7p

Add’l: A local production of The Wizard of Oz seeks actors age 5 thru adult. All characters have great lines with lots of action.

COVINGTON ART FAIR

Add’l: The largest fine arts fairs in the region, featuring artwork of local, regional and national artists. More than 85 artists will be on hand with one-of-a-kind artwork from every medium. The two-day event includes live jazz music and food trucks, and many of the plaza merchants will feature special items and demonstrations. There is no admission cost.

BUG DAY

Add’l: Explore and learn about the exciting world of exotic butterflies and other arthropods at our summer “Bug Day” event. Visitors take part in activities, games and crafts, all with a “buggy theme”. Several local organizations will be on hand to help you learn more and to answer your questions about honey bees, butterflies, mosquitoes and more!

BEATLES VS STONES – A MUSICAL SHOWDOWN

Add’l: Two of the greatest bands of all time face off in a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping musical showdown. The show is appropriate for all ages.

FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

Add’l: The Amvets Post #33 raises money throughout the year to make sure Waynedale has the most spectacular fireworks show around. We will be holding this year’s show at dusk (9:30pm-ish). Don’t miss out. Get there early to get a good spot. Due to Fire Department regulations, the Koester Dr will be closed at 9p. Cars are not allowed to pass through during the fireworks.

EMBARK – WAYNEDALE TRAILS CELEBRATION
When: Sat. July 21, 12-4p
Add’l: Encouraging the public to use the trails and sidewalks to visit area businesses who will be hosting activities and giveaways. Guests will receive a stamp on their event ‘passport’ for each business they visit and will be awarded with prizes if they visit a minimum number of the businesses listed. The event will be free to attend and participate in, and has been designed to promote healthy living and safe trail use in Waynedale.
