“KLOTHES FOR KIDS” FISH & CHICKEN DINNER FUNDRAISER When: Fri., May 11, 4-7p Where: Waynedale Elementary School 7201 Elzey Street 46809 Add’l: Waynedale Elementary School and Waynedale Lions invite you to come enjoy some food and fellowship that supports a good cause in our community. The fundraiser will be a fish dinner with desserts provided by PTA and other groups. All generated funds will be used to buy local children in need uniforms, sweats and undergarments. GIRLS ON THE RUN & MASCOT DASH When: Sun., May 20, 4p Where: IPFW Gates Athletic Center Add’l: Festivities include a fun Mascot Dash, where more than 20 local sports and community mascots complete a hilariously competitive 50-yard dash. The event will also include a DJ, a “happy hair” station for temporary hair color and glitter, a photo booth and a “bling your bib” station. Proceeds benefit GOTR-NEI, and will help fund program expenses and support scholarships and financial assistance that make GOTR-NEI accessible to girls in Northeast Indiana.
Cost: Online registration is $30 until May 13 at GOTR-NEI.org/5k. Race day registration is $35. BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL When: Thurs. thru Sun May 24-27 Where: Noble County 4-H Fairgrounds-Kendallville Add’l: The Midwest’s biggest parking lot pickin’ festival. Live music with bands all day.
