FUNDRAISER FOR CANCER MEDICAL EXPENSES
Add’l: Bill Jackson has been with Walgreens for 10+ years and remembers every customer by name. Bill has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer. FISH & CHICKEN FRY FUNDRAISER

Who: Cedar Creek Lions Club
Add’l: Fish Fry and Chicken Dinner fundraiser, Dinner will consist of fish and/or chicken, baked beans, applesauce, potato chips, bread, coffee or lemonade with the dinner being an All You Can Eat meal. Carry out Dinners are available. Children age 3 and under are free. Adults: $10, Children (ages 4 to 9): $7. Proceeds will be shared with the fire department to support the Northeast Allen County Fire & EMS and to the Riverside Gardens new playground for the special need’s children

13TH PENNSYLVANIA DRILL
When: Sat. April 7, 10a- 4p
Where: The Old Fort
Why: Historic Reenactment
Add’l: A local Revolutionary War reenactment group will hold a drill Saturday at the Old Fort. The 13th Pennsylvania Regiment of Foote is a local living history group that recreates both military and civilian life in colonial America. Their drill day will include training for new recruits and military drills, as well as period cooking and sewing demos.

MONTCALM & WOLFE: SCHOOL OF THE SOLDIER

Why: Historic Reenactment
Add’l: The French and Indian War was a conflict involving the French with their Native allies against the English with their Native and Colonial allies. Yes, you really need a scorecard to know what’s happening! Come out this weekend and talk to the reenactors and their families who portray the people involved in this historic conflict and learn what caused their problems.

THE ANT & THE GRASSHOPPER

Add’l: The Fort Wayne Area Home School Drama Camp is partnering with The Academy of Arts to present the children’s musical, “The Ant & The Grasshopper”, in which a hungry grasshopper begs for food from an ant when winter comes. Elementary students will reveal how this version unfolds as they sing and act their way through a timeless story.
