MATTHEW ALAN OBERLEY, 61
MATTHEW ALAN OBERLEY, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born August 28, 1956 in Fort Wayne to the late Elmer Oberley, Jr. and Virginia (Pepe) Oberley Hunsberger. He worked as a carpenter for Local #232. He was a faithful member of AMVETS #33.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Oberley; children, Mindy (Josh) Crupe, Jon Oberley, Nathan (Tammy) Oberley, and Jared (Cathy) Oberley; step son, Tom Black; beloved shih Tzu, Coal; nine grandchildren, Alissa, Evan, Collin, Chloe, Jade, Jealyn, Keagan, Kyrin, and Josey; two great grandchildren, Nalani and Marley; siblings, Denise Oberley – Landin, Mark (Mary Lou) Oberley, Ted (Debra) Oberley, Stuart (Elda) Oberley, Timothy (Gretchen) Oberley, Sr., and Heather McCulloch; and step mother, Monica (Don) Scott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Oberley, Kenneth Oberley, and Philip Oberley.
Memorial Service was Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation two-hours prior.
