The Ossian Days Festival 2017, September 14 to the 16th, is almost here!

The theme this year is, CANDY LAND, and our Parade Marshall is Cathy Brand-Beere the founder of De-Brand Fine Chocolate, she will be in the parade on Saturday the 16th. Enjoy three days of fun in a friendly small town setting just 10 miles south of Fort Wayne on State Road 1.

Thursday the festival starts at 5:00 pm with the opening of the rides by Beer and Jessop Amusements, then the Ossian Revitalization smoked pork chop dinner 4:30-7pm , followed by the chainsaw carving demonstration by Sid King at 6:30pm. Sid then donates the carving to Ossian Days for a silent auction ending on Saturday at 8pm.

Friday afternoon we have Norwell Show Choir’s Nelson’s rib tip or chicken bite dinners 5-8pm, 5:30 the Prince and Princess Contest, Applejack Cloggers at 7pm, DJ music in front of the event tent from 8-10pm and of course it’s Bracelet Night for the rides, $18.00 for all night ! Saturday the fun starts at 6:30am with the Knights of Columbus pancake & sausage breakfast, Fishing tournament 7-9am, 8:45am 5KRun/ Walk, 11:00am Big Wheel Race, 12 noon Donut Hole Eating Contest, 12 noon Fireman’s Waterball, 1:00pm BESSIE’S MOVEMENT $5.00 per square – behind the event tent, the Parade starts at 5pm, Dude Walker from K105 will co-announce the parade. Free Face Painting & Balloon Animals after the parade, and last but not least, a free concert by Chris Worth & Company in the event tent from 7-9pm.

Every day we have a variety of food venders to help feed the need for fair food, from ice cream to pork tenderloins, there is something for everyone! To help the community, Ossian Day’s, Inc. is donating 520 amusement ride tickets to the Northern Wells Food Bank. For each can or other non-perishable food item brought to the Ossian Days Booth you will receive a free ride ticket, each person can have up to 5 free tickets (while supplies last).
