ROBERT STEPHEN BUHR
ROBERT STEPHEN BUHR went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, he graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1966. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corp and was a combat veteran in Vietnam. After his service to our country he returned to Fort Wayne and went to work at Dana Corporation retiring in 2013 after 37 years of service. Bob was an avid outdoorsman an accomplished hunter, fisherman, and competitive trap/skeet shooter. He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours with friends and family enjoying God’s creation. Bob attended Emmanuel Community Church for many years prior to his illness.
Bob was the son of the late Robert and JoLee Buhr, and Phyliss & Joe Jones.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Wells; sisters, Rena Morris, Patty (Dennis) Rohrs, Sharon Buhr, Michele Black, Susan (Jerry) Jacene, Cathy (Phillip) Brown; brothers, Eric (Ellen) Buhr and Wyn (Debra) Weinberg.
Bob was preceded in death by brother, Richard (Ruth Ann) Buhr.
He was a much beloved brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.
Memorial service was Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 12:30 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 1-hour prior.
