Editors Note: The Community Calendar is a free announcement service for non-profit and not-for-profit organizations’ events. Although this is a free service provided please consider a $10 to $15 donation per issue to keep this service and your local paper available. The Waynedale News receives an abundance of press releases and articles for each issue. Information that has a focus on Waynedale is given the highest priority. We try to evaluate all submissions on a timely basis.

COCOA & COOKIES WITH SANTA

Add’l: Cost includes a photo with Santa that will be mailed direct to you along with decorating and taking with you 2-3 cutout holiday cookies.
There will also be a bake sale of great holiday treats along with the opportunity to purchase handmade holiday gift tags.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR & COOKIE WALK

WALK TO BETHLEHEM FREE EVENT
When: December 10 & 11

First Christian Church

Add’l: The public is invited to a tour of the story of Jesus’ birth. Walk includes live scenes and live animals. Visit the marketplace of Bethlehem after the tour, which includes vendors and other characters of that time.
Cost: This event is open to the public and free to attend.

HOLIDAY CONCERT
When: Tuesday, Dec. 13

Where: John & Ruth Rhinehart Music Center on the IPFW campus
Add’l: Theme of the concert is Christmas in the City featuring a backdrop of the city’s three tallest buildings with special lighting.
There will also be a barbershop quartet, flute ensemble, Salvation Army bell ringer and Santa is expected to make an appearance.
Parking is free in the garage across from the Music Center.
Cost: Tickets $8 for adults
$7 for seniors
$3 for children under 12
IPFW students admitted free with student ID

“CHRISTMAS AT HOME” WITH THE SWINNEY SISTERS
When: Dec. 4

Add’l: Guests are invited to bring their friends to celebrate the Christmas spirit and take refreshment of syllabub, delicious sweets and savories, and a pot of tea. A (optional) program on Christmas Traditions will follow in the parlor.
Enjoy Hearthstone Ensemble music and unique items in the upstairs Gift Shop.

We do this all year and always need new or gently used animals of all types.

All monies collected will be used to Domestic Violence organization, bring in speakers to share their stories and purchase educational materials to use in the classroom.
